Festival Season isn't quite over yet! Twisterella 2024

Next weekend sees the return of Twisterella Festival as it celebrates its 10th year with a jam-packed line-up of the best up-and-coming acts for what is sure to be a memorable day of live music.

The Festival takes place in Middlesborough, with the three of stages hosted at Teesside University's Student Union. The festival has a prior track record of booking the bands of tomorrow, with the likes of The 1975, Catfish and The Bottlemen, Mumford and Sons and Alt-J taking the stage in previous years.

Tickets are running low for this year's edition, with less than 250 left, so grab yours while you still can! HERE!

In case you were still unsure about who to see on the day, here are five acts I think you probably shouldn't miss!

The Howl & The Hum
Teesside SU Hub
12:30 - 13:15

The Howl & The Hum, fronted by Leeds-based songwriter Sam Griffiths, have easily been one of my most listened-to bands of recent times, even more so after the release of second album "Same Mistake Twice". I was very fortunate to see some of the album tracks performed acoustically at Leeds' newest festival "Twenty Seven Festival" earlier in the year. I'm very much looking forward to hearing more, this time with the full band.

GANS
The Townhouse
17:15 - 17:45

I've had the pleasure of seeing GANS perform twice this year, first as tour support for Big Special, and secondly at Sheffield's "Float Along", and can safely say, this is a set you don't want to miss. They are one of the most exciting live acts around at the moment!

Christian Music
Teesside SU Terrace
18:15 - 18:45

Christian Music are a band that should be on everyone's radar, especially after their debut EP release "European Tribunal", for fans of the heavier stuff.

Sun King
Teesside SU Hub
6:45 - 7:15

After first seeing Sun King support Australian psychedelic pop band "Sunfruits" a little over a year ago, I've gone to see them at every given opportunity since. With support slots for bands such as Wunderhorse, and Deadletter under their belts, they're an absolute power-house of a band, and one you should definitely not miss.

CHALK
Teesside SU Hub
22:00 - 22:45

Belfast Post Punk band Chalk are set to headline this years festival, having recently been nominated for the Best Live Performer category at this years AIM awards, and chosen to support IDLES at their Belfast and Dublin Dates, it seems the perfect time to see them!

This years full line-up and timings can be found via CLASHFINDER.
